Replacing missing teeth with dental implants is a three-step process that we can complete over the course of a few months. Explore our convenient guide to learn about each step in detail.
The first step to your new smile is scheduling an initial consultation with one of our doctors. During this visit, they’ll thoroughly examine the state of your oral health to determine if implants are the right treatment option for you.
If you suffer from gum recession or jawbone deterioration, you may need to undergo a supplemental procedure to prepare you for implant surgery. We perform most of these procedures in-office for your convenience, including bone grafting and soft tissue augmentation.
Once we determine you’re ready, one of our doctors will place the titanium implant fixture directly in your jaw and protect the surgical area with a temporary crown or flipper. After surgery, you’ll need to allow three to six months for your jaw to heal.
This also allows time for osseointegration, the process of your implant fixture fusing with your jawbone to replace the natural tooth root. Osseointegration is what sets dental implants apart from other restorations, and it’s the key to their long-term health and success.
After your implant has fully integrated with your jaw, you’ll return to our practice so we can attach your stunning porcelain crown. All of our crowns are customized to match the appearance of your natural teeth and blend in beautifully with your smile.
For patients missing more than one tooth, we also feature fixed bridges and implant-supported overdentures to restore up to a full arch of missing teeth.
No matter which solution you choose, you’ll smile with more confidence than ever before.
